PROSPECTS FOR COOPERATION IN THE MILITARY SPHERE DISCUSSED

As part of international cooperation, a working meeting was held between the Commander of the National Guard, Major General R. Djurayev, and the UK Deputy Minister of Defence, Lord Vernon Coaker. The meeting was also attended by the British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Timothy Smart, Defence Attaché Robin Steadman, and Christopher Keylar, Head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department of the UK Ministry of Defence.
During the meeting, which took place in a friendly and sincere atmosphere, the parties exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of cooperation. They also reviewed the positive outcomes of mutual visits, joint training sessions, seminars, and practical exercises.
The British Ambassador to Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of further developing cooperation with the National Guard and shared his thoughts on expanding and strengthening the existing friendly relations.
The meeting was held in a spirit of mutual respect and trust.
