The Commander of the National Guard has a meeting with representatives of the US Congress

On August 23, Commander of the National Guard Major General R. Djuraev met with a delegation of the US House of  Representatives headed by Congressmen Trent Kelly and Darin Lahoud.

During the dialogue, issues of military cooperation between the National Guard of Uzbekistan and the American side were discussed, including the development of bilateral relations with the Mississippi National Guard.

We remind that in March of this year, during the visit of the commander of the National Guard of the State of Mississippi, Major General J. Boyles  to Uzbekistan, he met  with the commander of the National Guard of Uzbekistan, Major General R. Djuraev.

It was noted that within the framework of mutually beneficial cooperation, a number of trainings and practical exercises were successfully held, the National Guard servicemen improved their skills at training courses and seminars held with the participation of US experts.

During the meeting, agreements were reached on expanding mutual cooperation in the field of ensuring public order, preventing natural and man-made emergencies, as well as training military personnel.

The event was held in the spirit of friendly and constructive dialogue.
