At the University of Public Safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a solemn ceremony was held, dedicated to the oathing ceremony of the first-year cadets

On the path of New Uzbekistan’s development, having chosen the responsible and honorable profession of ensuring the peace and security of our country, young men and women who have decided to serve in the ranks of the National Guard took their first step toward their noble goal today. For the first-year cadets of the University of Public Safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this day became truly unforgettable — they solemnly swore allegiance to the Motherland.
Commander of the National Guard Major General R. Juraev, Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Judicial-Legal Issues and Combating Corruption E. Abdulhakimov, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Kh. Khaitov and M. Akhmedova, a representative of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Republican Military Court S. Eshankulov, Deputy Republican Military Prosecutor A. Khomidov, as well as senior officials of partner ministries, veterans, representatives of the public, and pupils of the orphanage participated at the event.
The ceremony was opened by the Commander of the National Guard, who warmly congratulated the cadets taking the oath of allegiance to the Motherland on the eve of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, celebrated nationwide under the motto: “For the Motherland, for the Nation, for the People!”
It was emphasized that, on the initiative of the Head of State, the idea “For human dignity, for human happiness” has become a powerful movement in New Uzbekistan. At the core of today’s reforms lie the peace and stability of our country, and their preservation is the duty of every citizen. Therefore, priority attention is being given to strengthening the combat readiness and spiritual potential of our National Army, which is a reliable guarantor of the independence of the Motherland and the peace of the people. In particular, within the system of the National Guard, and especially at the University of Public Safety under the leadership of Colonel M. Rustambayev, consistent work is being carried out in this direction.
It was also noted that, by Presidential Decree No. 233 of July 29, 2025, the “State Scholarship of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief” was established for cadets of higher military educational institutions. At the end of the academic year, this scholarship will be awarded to the cadet who demonstrates the highest achievements. In addition, on the initiative of the Head of State, the “Scholarship of the Commander of the National Guard” was introduced. During today’s ceremony, the candidate of this award was announced — a cadet distinguished by excellent academic results, discipline, and personal qualities.
After announcing the Commander’s order, 4th-year cadet Olimkhuja Yunuskhojaev Mukhtar ugli was solemnly presented with the certificate and badge of the “Scholarship of the Commander of the National Guard.” These opportunities inspire young people with even greater strength, energy, and determination to strive for higher goals.
Speakers at the ceremony supported the vivid thoughts expressed by the Commander, stressing that the oath is a legal document embodying the sacred duty of defending the Motherland. It was noted that this day is an unforgettable milestone in the life of a young serviceman joining the ranks of the Armed Forces. Warm congratulations were extended to the cadets and their parents on this significant occasion.
This year, more than three thousand applicants submitted documents to the University, with a competition of 10–11 candidates per place. 334 of them successfully passed the established entrance examinations and, in August, underwent field training designed to develop their initial professional and combat skills.
Today, along with the young men, young women are the proud successors of Tomiris — also took the oath of allegiance to the Motherland, which is a vivid example of the reforms being implemented in our country in the sphere of gender equality. Furthermore, the fact that orphans are studying at this institution is a practical result of the principle “No one will be left without attention.”
As part of the celebration, the University cadets presented demonstration performances in hand-to-hand combat, the Pekiti Tirsia Kali system, weapon handling, as well as a drone show, which left a strong impression on the guests.
At the end of the solemn event, the cadets reunited with their parents and loved ones. The first photographs in military uniform, tears of joy, pride, and a sense of patriotism — all of this will remain forever engraved in their hearts.
